Behavioral Health Services at the Ohio Center

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used, evidence-based treatment in the field of behavioral health that emphasizes the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The core premise of CBT is that our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors, and by changing negative or unhelpful thoughts, we can enhance our emotional well-being and foster positive behavioral changes.

Research has consistently shown that CBT is highly effective, particularly for individuals facing mood and anxiety disorders. It's often regarded as the gold standard for mental health support and is typically a structured, short-term therapy. Overall, CBT equips individuals with tools to manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in more adaptive ways, leading to improved mental health and well-being. Additionally, incorporating mindfulness therapy techniques can further enhance the effectiveness of therapy services, allowing for a more holistic approach to mental health.
